At the Buena Vista and Winchester Facilities, we accept many types of recycled materials. Material in your community services facilities that is unused, unwanted, beyond repair, may have value. Check your shops, your computer storage, your police recovered items area. Bring the material to the Buena Vista or Winchester locations for cash payment.

Buena Vista also accepts paper of all types. Unwanted books in large quantities can be accepted, broken down and recycled. Librarians are welcome to call about accepting culled materials.

Computer Recycling

Municipalities can recycle out of date computer equipment by

Bringing it to Auto Recyclers LLC at either the Buena Vista or Winchester locations
Placing it in the dedicated container at the Rockbridge County Recycling Center on Green House Road

The Rockbridge Area Occupational Center assists in the dismantling of recycled computers.

The monitor glass is removed and recycled
The circuit boards are removed and recycled
The hard drives are destroyed, eliminating any danger of unwanted access to information left on the drive
